I Have a Soulmate

Dear The One,

I got asked the other day if I had a soulmate.

I didn’t really know how to answer the question.

Because… well, the answer in that moment was no.

Yet, I know that at some point I did. It was part of why I started this blog. I knew that somewhere out there, there was a woman just for me. Who didn’t even need to see my face to know that she loved me. She needs only read my words.

Somewhere along the way, I lost that.

So there I was, with that question freshly presented to my mind.

Did I have a soulmate? Was there someone I had promised to find and marry before my soul came to this earth?

I knelt at the end of my bed a few nights ago and prayed to know if there was a woman I’d promised to find.

The reference “Hosea 2:19” came into my mind, with a flash of “18” too.

“I will betroth thee unto me forever…”

I read the first words and I knew God had given me my answer.

Then Hosea 2:18

“And in that day I will make a covenant for them…”

Incredible. I have a soulmate.

So I guess I was right when I began writing letters to you.

You are out there.

May God lead you back to me.
